Celebrity Kids Rip The Runway at Fashion Week

COME ONE, COME ALL: Fashion Meets Fitness Fashion Show

For all of my beautiful ladies and gentlemen out there that have a love of fitness and a passion for fashion, meet me and a host of venders at the Fashion Meets Fitness Fashion Show.

This fashion show will showcase many men and women that have put in the work to sculpt and tone their body's to perfection. 

While showing off their nicely trimmed bodies, they will also highlight the latest fashion trends.

So you definitely want to make sure that you're in the building for this fashion and fit extravaganza.

The date is this Saturday, Aug. 10th from 3-7pm. The location of this amazing show will be at Energy Sports & Fitness, located at 2408 Sardis Rd. North, Charlotte, NC. The cost is $15 general admission and $20 for V.I.P. If you have an Energy membership, you will receive $5 off.

This event will also benefit a great cause, a portion of the proceeds will go to the American Heart Association. So be sure that you are in the building.

THE VISION: Fashion Show Highlights

If you were not in the building for 'The Vision' Fashion Show, you definitely missed an absolutely AMAZING show!

The ladies or shall I say creative geniuses of Ego-Trippin, Ms. Reeka Marcia and Designs By Danny, Ms. Danny, murdered the runway with their innovative and eclectic pieces.

I was in awe of the diversity and ingenious way that they took their individual pieces, put them together and created an explosion of fashion and style on the runway.

The models were definitely on as well. They did not disappoint. They took to the runway and truly ripped it. Confident, poised, and unique would be an understatement to describe how these models handled and absolutely set the runway on fire. Their hair and makeup was also on point, of course done by local and quite talented makeup artist and hairstylist.

 

'The Vision' was an excellent choice in name for this fashion show because these ladies, Ms. Reeka Marcia and Danny, gave a 3D visual of their gifted and artistic pieces. The music, the models, the straight talent that filled that room and runway was a vision of greatness.

We were also graced by the sultry voice of Ida Divine at the beginning of the show and during intermission. This woman's voice is so smooth and effortless, I was mesmerized from the beginning to the very end of each note. Power 98's Yasmin Young did an awesome job hosting. She kept the crowd intrigued and entertained while patiently waiting for the show to start and intermission, as she herself rocked a Designs By Danny necklace and Ego-Trippin earrings. She is an avid supporter of local and small business owners, especially women owned. Yasmin is a hustler and an entrepreneur herself. Her customized buttons debuted on the runway as well. 'I Am My Sister's founder Ms. Lela Blackwell was also in the building, representing in her custom made dress by local designers SilkFalsetto and looking oh so fabulous. Ms. Danny and Ms. Reeka not only gave us a fascinating and phenomenal show but they gave back while doing so. They donated to 'I Am My Sister' a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping teen girls.

Overall, 'The Vision' Fashion Show was a complete success. The life that the Ms. Reeka Marcia of Ego-Trippin and Ms. Danny of Designs by Danny brought to the stage was impressive to say the least. They definitely brought the house down with their ever so creative pieces and I can't wait to see more of and from them.

INTERVIEW: The Inside Scoop on Ryan Jor El

 "Inspire to Attire"

Ryan Jor El was born and raised in Toledo, OH. He and his younger brother were raised by their mother. From the start, with the inspiration of his mom, he was always dressed to impress! In matching outfits, he and his brother remained fresh and clean for Olan Mills family photos, wearing the all time classic sailor suits and many more memorable ensembles. Ryan remembers one outfit in particular, that he believes really set the tone for his style today and this was a red vest, red pants, white shirt, red bow tie, paired with black and white oxford shoes!

I had the pleasure of attending celebrity stylist Ryan Jorel’s Style Showcase on Friday in Charlotte, NC. The event was dope! In addition to vendors, the show featured Grammy-Nominated singer Alvin Garrett from Birmingham, AL. Each of the stylists that participated in the showcase were given a theme and had to style their models to fit it. It pushed them to step outside of the box and be creative!  ThisKittenHasClaws' very own blogger/fashionista Cushena Sheree was featured in the show!
