That's a wrap! The 2013 Trumpet Awards have come to a close and the Fashion Critics, Internet, and Stylist are all weighing in on the red carpet hits and misses. It also looks like the must-have accessory this year was...a MAN! The husbands and significant others were out in full force, escorting and supporting their ladies.
The red carpet was set ablaze last night by those just getting started and those who's graced this scene for many years. From the legendary Chaka Khan to the R&B Divas, Ke Ke Wyatt, Monifah, LaTocha Scott, Syleena Johnson, and Nicci Gilbert who glowed in her plus size clothing line, Curvato.
The fellas were also dapper and well-groomed with their stylish and swanky digs; Some with the traditional black tux and tie to those taking a risk with their vests, bow ties, and ascots. From host Rickey Smiley to retired NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing, the guys brought it, as they adorned the red carpet.
The Trumpet Awards known for their elegant and tasteful recognition of achievements, they have managed to bring out the fierce and eclectic styles of stars.
Glam squads worked overtime to achieve the dainty and dazzling red carpet styles pictured below. Some were spot on and some, well, not so much.
