While the summer is dwindling to its end, the fall shoe trends are revving up.
This years fall shoes consist of a little bit of Bohemian, Victorian, punk, and a whole lot of men inspired, footwear. Of course I can't forget to mention that the retro and military inspired or chunky look will be huge as well.
Textures will include mesh, lace, leather, pony hair and leopard print. These textures will be incorporated in many different styles and designs, though mostly on low cut, ankle boots, and wedges.
The color for shoes this fall will consist of ocean or royal blues, wine or deep plum, and olive greens. These colors will definitely work their way into many color blocked and twenties inspired ensembles.
To elaborate more on the military, chunky boot trend this fall; These boots can be worn casually which is most common to many. However, they have also been seen on the runway and in fall look books paired with skirts and dresses, giving them a more chic appeal. Continuing on with the chunky theme, thick heels will be 'in' this fall as well. Competing with the stiletto no longer, the bulky heel is a force to be reckoned with this year.
The t-strap, Victorian, and boy inspired pumps and heels are a big hit this fall. They have many different functions within the wardrobe setting. They can be paired with a nice pair of jeans with a button down shirt or dressed up with a belted pencil skirt and silk or rayon blouse.
Also notable this fall season will be the over the knee boots. These sexy and sassy boots created a lot of buzz on the runway and some celebs have already been caught sporting these trendy and stylish footwear around their respective towns. Coupling these boots with a nice pair of shorts with a blazer or an above the knee skirt with a peek-a-boo shirt or an off the shoulder blouse will definitely make these boots pop.
The wedge sneaker won't be going anywhere this fall either. Many designers have gone back to their creative drawing boards and are releasing a slew of new fall and winter styles to keep this fun, funky, and multifunctional shoe trend going strong. Be sure to look out for the updated styles at a your local shoe stores soon.
So whatever your desired fashion or style, the funky footwear this autumn is most definitely a trend that you'd want to 'fall' into.
