BUTTON UP: The Button Earring Trend

Many years ago the button earring was associated with class and sophistication. Old Hollywood latched onto the button earring with a nice clutch and pencil skirt that elongated the body and brought a nice frame to the face with a short curly hairstyle or an elegant updo.

Though this trend never completely went out of style especially amongst the baby boomers, who believed and still believe that less is more. The button earring has come back on the fashion scene full throttle.

The new generation of button earring wearers have again taken flight with an absolutely amazing new twist.

The colors, the designs, the textures, and styles have definitely evolved with the classic appeal of the button earring. Gold chains, glitter, and lace have also been added to and are just a few of the many materials used to give the button earring added flare and pizzazz.

Many are making their mark with the spectacular DIY button earrings and are putting their own unique spin on this chic fashion trend.

Gone are the days of the button earring being a dressy and sleek fashion accessory. For this trend has now been paired with a more relaxed and casual look. Jeans paired with a blouse and heels, is what makes the button earrings among the new must haves of spring and summer 2013.

Online boutiques, local small business owners and entrepreneurs have made fabulous handmade button earrings that will most definitely blow you away and give any retail store a run for their money. The best part is that they are star quality and very affordable.

PEEK-A-BOO: 2013 Peek-a-boo shoulder Trend

From swimwear to wedding gowns the peek-a-book shoulder trend is booming this year.

This early nineties fashion trend has come back with a vengence. From the runway to the local retailers the peek-a-boo trend is popping up all over the place.

Denim, silk, cotton, and rayon are just a few textures and fabrics that are being worn with the peek-a-boo shoulders. Long sleeves, shorts sleeves, and split sleeves have the peek-a-shoulder trend covered as well.

You can also find this ever evolving style in many different colors. From the bright, neon, and vivid colors such as the glow in the dark pinks, yellows, and reds to the darker more laid back, toned down, and traditional colors such as the blacks, browns, and blues.

There are also many different styles of the peek-a-boo shoulder. You may choose to show a little or a lot. You may find that just a small slit would suit you better than a wide bold off the shoulder and part of the arm peek-a-boo. Or, you may find that a collared shirt may work better with your personality, neckline, and body type more so than a non-collared shirt.

This trend is so versatile and diverse as it helps square off or frame your body. So virtually everyone woman, and most all body types can take part in this amazing, flirty, and fun fashion trend.
