What's The SHIMMER All About?!!

Shimmer, Shimmer, Shimmer!! We've seen it on the eyes, lips, and nails of our favorite stars and is already gearing up for this Spring's hottest new looks. Are you ready for the shimmer? How much shimmer is too much shimmer? And can I wear it everyday?

Ladies, as the spring season is almost upon us, we are seeing that sparkle and glitter  aren't only for the runway and red carpet. You can get the same looks as your famous counterparts for a fraction of the cost. Shimmer is also one of those things that you can dress up or down. Add a lot of shimmer and glitter for a glamorous night on the town with the hubby or formal, black tie events; Scale back the shimmer for a casual evening with friends or movie night.  Yes, shimmer or glitter can be worn daily. It can be worn to work, however not as you would at a fine dining restaurant. Running errands or taking kids to school, never fear there's a shimmer lipgloss or lipstick that can make your run of the mill, everyday outfit POP.

Take a look at the many ways to glitter and shimmer it up!

What's YOUR Color!!!

Hair Color, a nice change to a boring head of hair, right? See a color you want, pick it up, or have it done at your local salon right? Wrong! There are a lot of factors that go into getting the best, but more importantly the RIGHT color to accentuate your hair.

First of all, when choosing hair color, it's very important that you know what category that you fall into. These categories are defined as Warm or Cool. Why is this so important, you may ask? Because just as when you are picking a foundation, you don't want the color clashing with your skin tone. However, your skin tone is not the only factor to choosing the perfect hair color. Your eye color, your natural, and previous artificial color play a pivotal role as well.

The Bun...Classic Yet Classy

The bun, for so many women has long been a go to style. No matter what the hair type, straight, wavy, curly, permed, or natural, we all can  rock a bun.

During the winter months a lot of women tend to let their hair grow longer yet get frustrated with what to do with.  However, the bun is a staple style for many women on the go. This classic yet classy style never gets old.

The diversity of the bun is the reason why it will always be here to stay. For example, the bun can be worn classically with the hair pulled to the back flowing into a pinned ball, or the hair can be gathered and smooth to  the side while the bun rest either at the bottom or top of the ear for a very sophisticated look. The messy bun has become very popular over the most recent years, where the hair is pulled into the classic bun however, there are strands of hair sporadically protruding from the bun. Not comfortable with all of your hair being pulled and tucked away, then add a bang and pull the bun to the top of your head for a very chic look. Going somewhere classy and formal? Add hair jewelry, a twist, or a french braid to the side or top of the hair. There are countless ways to wear your hair in a bun while accentuating your outfit and personality.

Get Lost: Bermuda Shorts

WHO SAID BERMUDA SHORTS WERE GONE FOR GOOD..........

I was never REALLY a fan of them when I was younger because for me they were just an awkward length, but in all actuality....they're kinda cool, versatile & chic....now that I'm more mature and older.  They work for a tall woman such as myself and also give you a more professional feel!
