What's The SHIMMER All About?!!

Shimmer, Shimmer, Shimmer!! We've seen it on the eyes, lips, and nails of our favorite stars and is already gearing up for this Spring's hottest new looks. Are you ready for the shimmer? How much shimmer is too much shimmer? And can I wear it everyday?

Ladies, as the spring season is almost upon us, we are seeing that sparkle and glitter  aren't only for the runway and red carpet. You can get the same looks as your famous counterparts for a fraction of the cost. Shimmer is also one of those things that you can dress up or down. Add a lot of shimmer and glitter for a glamorous night on the town with the hubby or formal, black tie events; Scale back the shimmer for a casual evening with friends or movie night.  Yes, shimmer or glitter can be worn daily. It can be worn to work, however not as you would at a fine dining restaurant. Running errands or taking kids to school, never fear there's a shimmer lipgloss or lipstick that can make your run of the mill, everyday outfit POP.

Take a look at the many ways to glitter and shimmer it up!

Discover Your Inner Beast

A leopard cant change its spots but you sure can. If your closet is full of neutral shades and you want to jazz it up. Then nothing goes better with beige or black than leopard. Classic pieces in a leopard print will never go out of style. Such as a sleek blazer, a high heeled pump, belt or even a coat. It might appear a little loud for a fashionista who appreciate solids but this print can be a great way to step out of the box and add a pop of the unexpected to your wardrobe. This trendy but classic statement print is easy to wear and can be worn tastefully. There are a couple of things to keep in mind when you’re out shopping for leopard print clothes and accessories.

The Ultimate Beauty Secret....Water

For years we've heard about the many benefits of drinking water. Though many are skeptical, it is the ultimate beauty secret. Ever wonder why?

Let's look a little closer as to how water enhances your beauty in three of many different ways.

For many women trying to acheive flawless skin, water should be your first ally. Water keeps your skin cleansed and hydrated, therefore promoting clear and fresh skin. Water also flushes out toxins, which eliminates dirt from pores and in turn gives the skin a healthy glow.

What's YOUR Color!!!

Hair Color, a nice change to a boring head of hair, right? See a color you want, pick it up, or have it done at your local salon right? Wrong! There are a lot of factors that go into getting the best, but more importantly the RIGHT color to accentuate your hair.

First of all, when choosing hair color, it's very important that you know what category that you fall into. These categories are defined as Warm or Cool. Why is this so important, you may ask? Because just as when you are picking a foundation, you don't want the color clashing with your skin tone. However, your skin tone is not the only factor to choosing the perfect hair color. Your eye color, your natural, and previous artificial color play a pivotal role as well.

Pampered..At Home AND On a Budget

A spa day with the girls always serves as a pick me up for most women. A time relax and rejuvenate. However, more often than not, a lot of woman either don't have the time or dont have the money, maybe even both.

So how can you get that pampered, expensive spa treatment at home without busting up the budget?
Well, first start with a nice scented candle that will set the mood and tone for relaxtion. A lavender, apple cinnamon, mint, or jasmine scented candle is great because it serves as soothing, calming agents to help relax the senses and the body.

Next, if you have the time run a bath using equally as calming bath salts. Chamomile, lemongrass, and eucalyptus are excellent for soaking and soothing. However, if you don't have the added time for a relaxing bath, add a calming body scrub to a nightly shower. This has been proven to be equally as effective. Body scrub scents that will ease and soothe range from lavender, vanilla, grapeseed oil, and mint. These will also add moisture to the skin leaving it feeling replenished and refreshed.

Guys who ROCK dreads can be respected in the Corporate market!  You must own your look and your position in ANYTHING in life, so don't let anyone tell you, you can't wear your hair a certain way because you are a "different" type of man in a "different" type of setting! The Bun...Classic Yet Classy

The bun, for so many women has long been a go to style. No matter what the hair type, straight, wavy, curly, permed, or natural, we all can  rock a bun.

During the winter months a lot of women tend to let their hair grow longer yet get frustrated with what to do with.  However, the bun is a staple style for many women on the go. This classic yet classy style never gets old.

The diversity of the bun is the reason why it will always be here to stay. For example, the bun can be worn classically with the hair pulled to the back flowing into a pinned ball, or the hair can be gathered and smooth to  the side while the bun rest either at the bottom or top of the ear for a very sophisticated look. The messy bun has become very popular over the most recent years, where the hair is pulled into the classic bun however, there are strands of hair sporadically protruding from the bun. Not comfortable with all of your hair being pulled and tucked away, then add a bang and pull the bun to the top of your head for a very chic look. Going somewhere classy and formal? Add hair jewelry, a twist, or a french braid to the side or top of the hair. There are countless ways to wear your hair in a bun while accentuating your outfit and personality.

Do you keep squares in your circle or your.......

A sharply dressed man is guaranteed to turn heads and raise arched brows! But the only way to complete a well tailored ensemble is to fill your pocket!

Men... if you have a pocket, it must not be left empty!  A pocket square completes your look while at the same time displaying your personality, as you may find these in solids, plaids, polka dots & more.  It may be used as the POP of color to your entire look or just a blending accessory to correlate!

Men may say they don't know how to fold the square, well....you can always use the diamond effect(shown directly below) and fold it in that shape or whatever makes you more comfortable! Just remember...you don't want to "over do" it so.... just be sure whatever print/solid and shape you choose compliments the theme of your attire!

Color Blocking Still On For Spring 2013

Though we are still in the throws of winter, many woman are already thinking about and preparing for this years spring fashion. Are you wondering what's in and what's out this year?

Well, don't shelve those color blocked heels just yet. Because from the look of things, this spring is going to be a very big color blocking year. The new trends are leaning towards and favoring multicolored heels and stilettos.

Remember, though, whenever coloring blocking your shoes, don't overdo the clothing. Pick the item that you are matching the heels or stilettos to. Also, don't overdo patterns when color blocking with shoes. However, you can pick a bold plaid and choose to bring out a bright color within that pattern to put emphasis on. The goal is to make a bold yet sophisticated statement without looking as if you are going to the circus. You may also highlight one color of the color blocked shoe paired with solids, whether shirt and pant or blouse and skirt.
