With many celebs becoming new moms and women continue to have growing baby bumps we are definitely keeping a close eye on their fashion and style.
Though there were some maternity faux pas, many celebs got it right while carrying their tiny bundles of joy. There were also those that took matters into their own hands, literally.
For example, Jessica Simpson started her own maternity clothing line. She opted for fun, flowing, sleek, and comfortable. Her up to date maternity line is doing quite well, if I must say so myself.
The most popular styles, textures, and fabrics can be seen in its maternity counterparts as well. Floral, faux leather, and the very popular maxi dress are definitely in full swing for maternity wear.
Colors are popping up all over the place in many maternity lines. Making good use of color blocking can make any maternity outfit explode.
Jeans and leggings are not off limits in the maternity fashion world either. As a matter of fact it's encouraged. With designers providing jeans with an elastic pouch for a growing baby bump, jeans are actually a very comfortable and go to fashion choice. Leggings which are seen mostly on the "model type" body frame, has also become another comfortable option for pregnant moms-to-be. The stretchy, cool material can be paired with a peplum or casual high low tank, and gladiator sandals, to create a style sensation.
The gladiator sandal and wedge heel, for those women that just can't give up heels, are a nice look for those that need a little wiggle room for one of the curses of pregnancy...swollen feet. These two shoes are great options because they can be paired with everything which makes them amongst the must haves in the maternity fashion and style communities.
So as the fashion world evolves and children continue to make their debut via mommy's tummy, we will continue to see more and more designers jump on the maternity bandwagon. Look out!!
