During one of my many binge trips to ULTA, I was shopping for a new primer. But not just any primer, I try to only use makeup that doesn't have certain chemicals in it. I told the beauty consultant my needs/concerns and she steered me to LORAC POREfection Mattifying Face Primer, which is free of parabens, silicon and oil! That's exactly what I was looking for!! But was it going to work??? After using LORAC POREfection Mattifying Face Primer, which does have Salicylic Acid and antioxidants of Vitamins A, C and , I have been impressed!
LORAC POREfection Mattifying Face Primer doesn't have the exact same coverage as a chemically enhanced primer, but it's one of the best chemical free makeups that I have tried thus far. I definitely notice a difference in my foundation coverage when I use LORAC POREfection Mattifying Face Primer versus when I don't.
I paid around $32 for mine, which seems a little on the high side, but again, when you are unwilling to use certain chemicals, you tend to pay more!
LORAC POREfection Mattifying Face Primer may not be for you, if you're ok with the chemicals in mainstream primers, then keep using them. However, if you are trying to steer clear of some questionable chemicals, give it LORAC POREfection Mattifying Face Primer a try and let me know how you feel about it!
