Updo's are popular with formalwear because they add a classy and svelte style to any formal ensemble. However, what you should remember, is, that when a style is chosen, the hairstyle should compliment YOUR facial features and bone structure. Just because your favorite celebrity has worn or is wearing a popular hairstyle, does not mean that it is the right fit for you.
Fishtail braids are also an ever growing trend for fashion formalwear. They can be worn to either side of the head with the hair pulled back, parted to each side with sporadic loose ends or you may want to add a bang for a more glamorous and sophisticated look; One that is sure to turn heads.
The messy or Greek style pinned looks are popular this year as well. The pinned hair in the back or sides and tousled loose ends are a nice addition to your prom digs.
